Applications
Applications are build to enhance the productivity, interactivity and user experience of EasySocial. Core and necessary applications are pre-installed on your site upon installing EasySocial and you may find them from Components > EasySocial > Applications > Applications. Additional applications are available on Application Store on your site and also on our Stackideas Apps Store.
Applications can be categorized into Apps, Custom Fields and Plugins. Most of the available application are free and you can directly install them from the Application Store on your site. Feel free to browse through our Apps Store to checkout more of these awesome applications.
Some of the available apps cannot directly be installed through here. So, you will need to download them from our Apps Store and the downloaded application can be installed through Install feature which is located underneath the Application section on sidebar.
Note: Please take note that if the downloaded application is a plugin, then you will need to install them through Joomla Extension Manager. For more information, please read through Installing Plugin documentation.
Installing New Application
Installing new application on EasySocial is quite straightforward. Firstly, you will need to navigate to EasySocial > Applications and click on Install which is located underneath the Application section on sidebar.
There are 2 options available for installing new application on EasySocial; Upload Installation Package and Install Package From Directory. As for this documentation, we will guide you through Upload Installation Package.
Note: It is recommended to use Upload Installation Package option whenever installing new application.
Select the new application's installer file by clicking on Choose File button and then hit Upload & Install button.
The installation process should take you just a few second. After the installation completed, you will be presented with this layout. Great! The application was installed successfully on the site..
Publishing New Application
By default, the recently installed app is disabled and you will need to publish it from the Application's Listing. Search for the recently installed app and click on the title of the app. If you wish to make this app automatically available for your users, you will need to set it as Default Application.
